November 2022 Luncheon & AGM @ Besk
Besk
13:00 – 16:00
Hi Gents,    The November 2022 luncheon (+ AGM) is being held at Besk!   The establishment is named after the old danish term Besk, describing a type of flavour profile, and highlighting their commitment towards ingredients (and community experiences) free of unnecessary pretension.   The space invites co-owner and Mane Liquor's resident booze hound, Elliot Moore, a second outlet to showcase his love of craft drinking and producers.    Moore and chef, Gerard Mitchell, are dedicated to serving only quality ingredients from trusted local farmers. With grass-fed steak, seafood and free-range chicken from local growers, they refuse to compromise on quality.   Mitchell has also fired up a custom-built JAGRD grill which will be tending to all the delicious meats over the course of the afternoon.    If you're up for this awesome combo of classic pub meals and craft beers, make sure you snag your ticket early to be one of 45 lucky guests!   Just a few quick "house-keeping" reminders: Please inform your guest of our dress standards - jacket and tie compulsory - dress jeans/chinos are perfectly okay; The AGM is being held prior to the lunch between 12:30 and 1:00pm - members only The lunch is a strict 1:00pm start, if you get there early, grab a beer at the bar - the committee are still in set up phase prior to this (please inform your guests of this as well); When you book a ticket for your guest, please be sure to enter their name so we can arrange badges - as well as their email so a copy of the ticket is sent to them; Ticket sales will close at 5pm on Monday 21st November so don't leave it to the last minute to grab your tickets; Remember to drink responsibly and look after your mates; Finally, the Club is about true fellowship, so when you introduce your guest(s) - it's not so much about their business and telling the room they should see them for "x" service - it's more about how you've met them and why they'd enjoy the lunch - it's more important to focus on the fellowship aspect, rather than introducing a networking flavour. Set the expectation for them right from the start so they can relax and just enjoy the day.   See you there for Good Beer, Good Beef and Good Fellowship!   Cheers Prez & Committee

Hi Gents, The May 2022 Beer & Beef Club luncheon is being held once again at Juniper & Bay in Como. These guys have been massive supporters of the club! For those that haven't been before, this is not a lunch to miss!!   Soren (chef) & Sabine (service) came from Hamburg to Perth in 1999 after 10 years in top restaurants including a Michelin Star, and after 10 years at their George Street Bistro in East Fremantle, they opened Juniper & Bay in 2014.   More recently, TripAdvisor named them the no. 1 fine dining restaurant in Australia - the Travellers' Choice "Best of the Best" for 2021. The high-end restaurant has won fans across Australia and around the world for its sophisticated take on modern Australian and European cuisine, as well as its excellent service and ambient setting, a stone’s throw from the Swan River waterfront.   Ticket numbers are limited to 47 so if you are lucky enough to snag a ticket to this lunch you will see their German heritage shine through in the meals presented. LAST CHANCE for Tickets to Boston Brewing in Victoria Park - Sale closes 2pm tomorrow!
Boston Brewing Co Vic Park
13:00 – 15:00
Hello Gents! *** LAST CHANCE for Tickets to this month's lunch. Due to public holiday Monday, ticket sales are a hard close at 2pm tomorrow so the venue can order for us -- don't miss out if you're planning on coming!!****   We are very excited to invite you to join us at Boston Brewing Co in Vic Park for our April lunch. For those of you who remember the lunch at Henry on 8th back in February 2019, Boston Brewing put on an amazing show of their beers and we now have the opportunity to dive into them again.    Situated in the private dining area, it's a perfect space for the Club and several of the committee have frequented the establishment a couple of times to test the menu - it's even been said that one individual in particular loved the 300gm char-grilled scotch fillet so much, that he ordered (and devoured) a second! I can confirm as the author of this invite and being the individual in question that the account is indeed true! I thoroughly enjoyed the food coma that lasted for several hours afterwards.   We'll announce the full menu and the beers that will be served up shortly, but this is definitely not a lunch to miss, so secure your tickets early for yourselves and your guests. And after the official lunch has finished, there are still an amazing array of beers on tap to kick on with.   Just a couple of quick "house-keeping" reminders: Please inform your guest of our dress standards - jacket and tie - dress jeans/chinos are perfectly okay; The lunch is a strict 1pm start - if you arrive early, please grab yourself a beer at the bar and then enter the dining room at 1pm - the committee are still in set up phase prior to this (please inform your guests of this as well); When you book a ticket for your guest, please be sure to enter their name so we can arrange badges - as well as their email and phone number so a copy of the ticket is sent to them; Finally, the Club is about true fellowship, so when you introduce your guest(s) - it's not so much about their business and telling the room they should see them for "x" service - it's more about how you've met them and why they'd enjoy the lunch - it's more important to focus on the fellowship aspect, rather than introducing a networking flavour. Set the expectation for them right from the start so they can relax and just enjoy the day.   We're expecting Boston to deliver something amazing for us all and it's likely to become one of our signature venues, so don't miss out on the first!! ***** TICKET SALES CLOSE AT MIDDAY TODAY! - DON'T MISS OUT **** Gents, we are close to capacity and there are only 8 tickets left for this lunch. It's going to a cracking opener and not one to miss! You have until 12pm today to secure your tickets. No exceptions as we have to let the restaurant know final numbers for Rib Eye orders. ****     Good afternoon Gents! Well, we are in for a right treat on the 23rd. Artisan has just confirmed the tasty beers we'll be enjoying on the afternoon :   ARRIVAL BEER GREAT SOUTHERN | Belgian-style Table Beer | 3.5% Reason: Very easy drinking. The Belgian equivalent of a Sessionable Pale Ale   ENTREE Pizzas to share: Wagyu Bresaola, Artichoke, Balsamic reduction, Rucola Olives + Nonna's Giardiniera  MALABAR | Belgian Witbier | 4.9% Reason: The lemony-citrus & peppery spice work well with pepperiness of the Rucola and help cut through the saltiness of the Bresaola & fatiness of the cheese.   MAIN Rib Eye Racks, Roast Potatoes, Curry Butter, Pickled Onions Cos Salad, White anchovy, Parmesan Cream  TKL 2021 | Belgian Tripel | 8.1% Reason: Hoppy beers are the norm for beefy dishes, but this dish has other elements, like the anchovies, that don't play as well with hops. A Tripel is both fruity & spicy which is a good middle ground to both cut through the beef fat, the anchovy saltiness & the pickled onion's acidity. The fruity complexity plays well with the beefy flavours, along with balancing well with curry, butteriness from the sauce & salad dressing, while helping mellow out the sharpness of the parmesan.   TO FINISH (150ml pour) NOELS PUDDING | Quadrupel with Fig, Tart Cherry, Vanilla + Spices | 8.8% Reason: This is a dessert in a glass. Just a lil bit of pud????   Come on lads - get on board and grab your tickets - this is not a lunch to miss!   ******* Gentlemen, Welcome to 2022!! We're back and opening with a brand new venue - but with a very familiar and friendly face. This is our fifth year of affiliation with Anthony Princi and his fantastic team. We've enjoyed some great lunches at Bivouac and they supported us during Covid lockdowns with preparing the meals for our Beer and Beef by Zoom! You'll easily recall the warmth, passion and enthusiasm that the team has showed for the club and for the delivery of our amazing lunches. For those who've ventured into Juanita's Bar in Subiaco, you'll no doubt have enjoyed the cruisy vibes and laid back style.  So, it is indeed our privelege and joy to get behind them and help them lauch their new venture in Bayswater - King Somm. And, with an address of 13 King William St - it is literally a stones throw from the Bayswater Train Station. Bringing back the friendly neighbourhood bar, where the staff know your name and the place feels like home. Our delicious menu: Entree: Olives / Nonnas Giardiniera  Pizzas to share: Wagyu Bresaola, Artichoke, Balsamic reduction, Rucola    Mains: Rib Eye Racks  Roast Potatoes, Curry Butter, Pickled Onions  Cos Salad, White anchovy, Parmesan Cream    Brewer: Artisan Brewery We have capacity for 60 at the lunch, so get in early and secure your tickets for yourself and guests. We look forward to seeing you all there for a great afternoon. A quick reminder on the official points for the lunch: - Please advise guests to wear jacket and tie, dress jeans/chinos okay, no shorts - Vaccination "passports" are required to be shown on entry and please wear a mask as you enter - If you arrive prior to 1pm, please purchase your own drinks from the bar - service of beer for the lunch will not commence until 1pm.   See you there gents!!
