This year we will be supporting and raising funds for Charlie’s Hope. Charlie is a 12-year-old Perth boy who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic disease, at the age of eight. For the past four years, his parents have fought an unrelenting and costly battle to give their son the best life possible. We’ll be looking to replicate the amazing fund-raising efforts of last year with several live auctions and some fantastic raffle prizes! We are very proud to announce this as an Open Lunch for the club and you are welcome to invite spouses, colleagues and friends. The event last year was a resounding success and with limited ticket numbers you’ll need to get in early. We have a fantastic day arranged with welcome drinks and mingling from 1-1:45pm, then an extended lunch through to 4pm in the Dining Room. Good Afternoon All You are invited as Life, Honorary and Financial Members to attend the AGM at 12.30pm next Friday 26th - just prior to the lunch. Please note that guests and non-financial members are not permitted at the AGM. As the AGM will be held in the Restuarant where we will be having the lunch, please let your guests know that they're welcome to get themselves a drink at the Rooftop Bar and then head down when the lunch starts at 1pm. There will be no late entry permitted to members on the day who have not registered for the AGM beforehand. Due to the timings involved, we do need to strictly adhere to this, so if you plan on attending the AGM, then please register to avoid any uncomfortable conversations on the day and please inform your guests. For those that haven't been before, this is a lunch not to miss!! Soren (chef) & Sabine (service) came from Hamburg to Perth in 1999 after 10 years in top restaurants including a Michelin Star. After 10 years at their George Street Bistro in East Fremantle, they opened Juniper & Bay in 2014. If you are one of the lucky ones to attend this lunch (only 4o seats available), your will see their German heritage shine through in the meals presented. The beer sponsor is yet to be announced but there are whispers of a delectable brewer from Denmark getting on board. It's been a long time between drinks lads and we're very much looking forward to getting back together with you all to enjoy some great beer, some great beef and great fellowship. 2021 has certainly hit the ground for many of us and I personally can't wait to get away from work life for the afternoon and enjoy several (read many!) beers at our first club lunch for the year. Tom and the team at The Grosvenor will once again be showing us wonderful hospitality and the Boardroom is ours for the afternoon to enjoy the lunch and celebrate St Pat's Day.
